Anita Carmichael internationally acclaimed singer saxophonist is releasing her new single YOU & I WOW Recorded at Dalston Lane Studios London and mixed and produced, programming & keyboards by Jacob Tanousis, . She has a new album Grooves & Hooves on UK's leading independant Saxology Records.
The album is full of ballads, funk soul and jazz vibes with Anitas trademark searing sax and soulful vocals.She has collaborated with Fayyaz Virjii from Incognito and has guested with Shakatak to soul superstar Alex O Neal.
Anita Carmichael has also recorded a Live album in Barcelona, a fabulous live concert recorded in Spain for Spanish TV and Radio in 1998.Under her own name she has already played at festivals in Montreux, Glastonbury Jakarta, San Sebastian, and as opening act for George Benson as well as guesting with Alex O Neal and Shakatak, Jonathan Butler and Fred Wesley She was voted one of the top female instrumentalists in the world by JazzLife Magazine in Japan.

Anita Carmichael is a true sax soul diva, seamlessly blending jazz, funk and soul with jazz standards and original material. Signed to the UK’s leading independent jazz label Saxology Records, her most recent album Lipstick on My Reed showcases her signature sound: soulful vocals, searing saxophone lines, and deep, groove-led compositions. She is also known for her Saxotronix release and a celebrated live album recorded in Barcelona for Spanish TV and radio.
Her music moves effortlessly between lush ballads, funk-driven soul, and sophisticated jazz, all delivered with warmth, confidence, and unmistakable personality. Anita has collaborated with Fayyaz Virjii (Incognito) and has guested alongside artists including Shakatak and soul legend Alex O’Neal.
